Steve Smith
Managing Director

Steve has been in the IT/Voice and Computer industry for 30 years and has formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering, is an MCSE and has HP ASE certifications.
With AWA at the old Ashfield plant for 10 Years, Steve was involved with the design and Implementation of both Voice and Radio Communications projects in Australia and the Middle East. He was principal Design Engineer and Project Manager for the implementation of the Grain Handling Authority communication portfolio and spent a number of years enhancing and promoting the use of Five Tone sequential signalling systems. He spent two years as a menber of the original team that wrote the first Mobile Phone specification for Telstra. As Engineering Manager and Principal Project Manager, for the Swiss company “Von Roll Transport Systems” , he implemented and provided design solutions for Monorail Technology worldwide. He was Principal Project Manager for the Darling Harbour, Broadbeach and Expo 88 Monorail Systems.
Steve has recently been Head of IT and Principal Project Manager for the Department of Finance managed, HIH and BCI Royal Commissions, where his design and implementation of the paper free courtroom, captured worldwide attention. He has extensive experience in the implementation of video imaging and voice and video on broadband networks. He has spent the last 5 years working with Promim Australia as National Marketing Manager before assuming the Position of Managing Director.

Thien Duong
Engineering and Projects Manager
Thien has worked in the IT industry for over 15 years with the last 5 years at Promim Australia. Thien has been the Program Manager responsible for most of the larger projects rolled out over that period. He has managed 300 plus site refurbishment and modernisation projects on behalf of our customers with their clients in Retail, Banking and Services industries. His original role has expanded to now include the resposibility for Promim Australia"s Engineering capability and our certification cirrencies.
Prior to joining Promim has worked in various roles ranging from pre and post sales support, systems adminstration, network design and implementations to project management. He has completed numerous vendor certifcations over the years which include Cisco, Microsoft, HP, Nortel and Avaya certifications. He was Steve Smith"s second in charge for the HIH and BCI Royal Commision Project.
Garry Woods
Sales and Operations Manager

Garry’s career is a history of operational management and business development beginning with his first roles at timesharing and bureau services with CAS Mayne Nickless trough to the provision of ICT services and solutions with Optus and Alphawest.
One of the most hectic periods of Garry’s career was at Scitec, now VeCommerce, where he was responsible for market development of their international markets and it was during this time that he refined his ability to successfully deal with differing business cultures and client contacts from C level to the warehouse floor.
Garry holds numerous Sales and Sales Engineering certifications from Cisco, Nortel, Juniper, EMC and VMWare. He has participated in intensive Character Profiling which revealed he is a Resource Investigator (Extrovert, enthusiastic, communicative, explores opportunities and develops contacts) and Plant (Creative, imaginative, unorthodox and solves difficult problems).

Diana Brett
National Service Delivery Manager

Dianna took a Personal Assistant to the Service Delivery Manager role with the company around 4 years ago. She quickly established herself as critical part of the Service Delivery team and was promoted to the National Role a little over a year ago. Since then Diana has proved to be pivotal in raising client satisfaction levels and has taken on the additional responsibility for the Call Centre and Service Level reporting functions.
Prior to joining Promim Australia, Diana has worked for a number of organisations including five years experience in project management, and nearly four years as an Account Service Executive in the medical industry.
Diana is an accomplished Dance Teacher and runs a dance club for children of all ages where she teaches and competes at various dance competitions nationally.
